Trauma-Informed Care

Mind-Body Therapy

Nervous System Regulation • Breath • Somatic Awareness • Deep Rest

Mind-Body Therapy is a gentle, trauma-informed approach designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and move from stress and overwhelm toward greater calm, balance, and self-awareness.

Rather than focusing only on thoughts, mind-body practices recognize the connection between our emotions, breathing patterns, physical sensations, and nervous system.

Sessions are personalized according to what you need that day and may incorporate breathwork, grounding, guided meditation, body awareness, somatic practices, mindfulness, and deep relaxation techniques.

What to Expect

Your session begins with a brief check-in so we can understand how you're feeling physically and emotionally.

From there, I guide you through practices selected for your individual needs. This may include conscious breathing, grounding, gentle body awareness, guided meditation, or other nervous-system regulation techniques.

There is nothing to perform or achieve. The intention is to create a supportive space where your mind can become quieter and your body has an opportunity to slow down, settle, and deeply rest.

A Trauma-Informed Approach

Sessions are offered with an emphasis on choice, consent, safety, and personal comfort. You remain in control of your experience and can modify, pause, or decline any practice at any time.

Mind-Body Therapy can be experienced on its own or incorporated into other Above Therapies sessions, including AcuDetox, sound healing, Reiki, and other complementary practices.

Mind-Body Therapy is a complementary wellness service and is not a substitute for psychotherapy, medical care, or treatment from a licensed healthcare professional.
